3,5 million performing arts visits in 2023
This year marks 80 years of theatre data collection in Finland. Not only that, we’re also celecrating the second consecutive year that Finland’s statistical system came first out of 186 countries (though this streak may end next year, as the cultural statistics might be cut by the statistics bureau).
The number of spectators for theatre, dance and circus amounted to 3,5 million in 2023, though it varied between 3,7 and 4,1 million in the years before the pandemic. TINFO’s extensive annual performing arts statistics from 2023 are out and available online.
