Arts and Culture Barometer 2023: The many forms of an artist’s work
The Arts and Culture Barometer is an annual survey that aims to gather the opinions of those working in the fields of the arts about topical issues regarding art policies. The barometer is conducted by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) together with the Foundation for Cultural Policy Research (Cupore). The survey is aimed at professional artists working in different fields of the arts, and we hope to receive responses from as many fields of the arts as possible.
The theme of this year’s survey is the different types of work performed by artists. The questionnaire itself is in three sections plus one section for background information. Section A examines specific artforms and working in multiple fields of the arts. Section B examines different types of work performed by artists and the types of sectors in which they work. Section C examines income sources and earnings models. Remember to respond also to the background questions at the end of the questionnaire.
At the end of each section, you have the opportunity to write your own comments and remarks about the subject and give feedback to the researchers. You do not have to complete the entire questionnaire at once; simply click on the “Save and continue later” button at the bottom of the page.
After completing the questionnaire, you can participate in a prize drawing for the chance to win one of 20 Museum Cards by providing your contact information. If you already have a Museum Card, you can use the prize to extend its validity by one year.
All responses will be treated anonymously, and they cannot be connected to your e-mail address. The results will be reported in such a way that individual respondents cannot be identified. Here you can find the general privacy policy statement for Cupore’s research projects. Project-specific privacy policy statements can be accessed upon request.
The deadline for responding to the survey is 2 October 2023.
Thank you in advance for your responses!
