Kick-Off Meeting - Where to land, embedding European performing arts in the new Climate Regime
We would like to invite you to the official Kick-Off-Meeting of Where to land, Embedding European Performing Arts in the new Climate Regime, on March 9th from 2 to 6 pm (Central European time CET).
We would be happy if you could join. Please register HERE.
This Initiative is aiming at defining a new model for environmentally sustainable performing arts in Europe. An ongoing European dialog has started with motivated colleagues all over Europe and a European conference will be held in Strasbourg in October 2022.
The overall outcome we expect from this initiative can be summarised in the following three points:
- Definition of the Performing Arts Sector’s Commitments
- Definition of the corresponding reorganisation of the sector
- Advocacy to the national and European Policy makers (what frame is needed to enable, empower the sector in its commitments)
This Initiative is coordinated by the Bureau du Théâtre et de la Danse of the French Institute in Germany, in the frame of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union.
The program of the kick-off meeting in March will be conceived by the Aktionsnetzwerk Nachhaltigkeit.
Partners of the initiative are the Institut Francais, the Goethe Institut, the Syndeac (National Union of Artistic and Cultural Enterprises in France), the City of Strasbourg and the Théâtre du Maillon in Strasbourg.
For the kick-off meeting the Aktionsnetzwerk Nachhaltigkeit will gather professionals of the sector, representatives of institutions and policy makers for roundtables and open an debate to discuss the steps the sector could go and what institutional and political frame is needed for it.
