New Nordic Voices is an exciting translation programme that finds and translates plays from emerging Nordic playwrights from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland and Iceland into English.
Monday 29/3: Nordic Masterclasses
5 10-minute masterclasses with a Nordic artist from each of the countries in the showcase:
Tuesday 30/3: Panel Discussion: Nordic Drama and its Comeback

With playwrights Kristofer Grønskag (Norway) and Anna Bro (Denmark), and literary agent Sissi Liechtenstein (UK):
Wednesday 31/3: Readings | 5 New Nordic Plays
13-15:00 BST
5 20-minute play readings on Zoom showcasing the 5 Nordic playwrights and their plays.
Networking Room (meet the playwrights) 15:30-17:00 BST.
Thursday 1/4: Panel Discussion: Theatre in Translation
11-12:30 BST
With translators Brian FitzGibbon (Iceland) and Charlotte Barslund (UK), and playwrights Gígja Sara Björnsson (Iceland) and Daria Glenter (Norway).
Friday 2/4: Audio & Text Extracts
Extracts of the 5 plays will be published on our website under each play in the play library.
