The Arts and Culture Barometer
The Arts and Culture Barometer is an annual survey that aims to gather the opinions of those working in the fields of the arts about topical issues regarding art policies. The barometer is conducted by the Arts Promotion Centre Finland (Taike) together with the Center for Cultural Policy Research (Cupore).
The theme of this year’s survey is the occupational wellbeing of artists. The questionnaire is targeted at artists, and we hope to receive responses from as many fields of the arts as possible.
The questionnaire is in five sections plus one section for background information. Section A examines artists’ experiences of work and occupational wellbeing. Section B examines factors that support and undermine occupational wellbeing. Section C examines managing and organising artistic work. Section D examines occupational health services and other services that support occupational wellbeing. Section E includes ten general claims measuring the experience of inclusion based on the widely used Inclusion Indicator developed by the Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL). Remember to respond also to the background questions at the end of the questionnaire.
Approximately 20 to 30 minutes is required to complete all the questions. At the end of each section, you have the opportunity to write your own remarks about the subject and give feedback to the researchers.
After completing the questionnaire, you can participate in a prize drawing for the chance to win one of 20 Museum Cards by providing your contact information. If you already have a Museum Card, you can use the prize to extend its validity by a year.
All responses will be treated anonymously and separately from the respondent’s e-mail address or other personally identifiable information. The results will be reported in such a way that individual respondents cannot be identified. Here you will find a general privacy policy statement for Cupore’s research projects. The project-specific privacy policy statement is available on request.
The deadline for responding to the survey is 16th October.
