Aurora Award, open call for playwrights

 

Until April 15th, the Teatr Polski in Bydgoszcz is welcoming submissions for the prestigious international playwright award, AURORA. THE DRAMA AWARD OF THE CITY OF BYDGOSZCZ, presented as part of the esteemed Prapremiery Festival The winner receives 50,000 PLN during the 23rd edition of the Premiere Festival.

 

In 2021, the Teatr Polski in Bydgoszcz launched the AURORA Drama Award of the City of Bydgoszcz, honoring outstanding contemporary playwrights. This award encourages innovative storytelling on pressing issues and facilitates collaboration among regional artists during the final week of the competition.

 

This competition is open to playwrights hailing from an extensive list of countries including Poland, Albania, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Montenegro, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Kosovo, Lithuania, Latvia, Macedonia, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, and Hungary. 

 

Entries can be submitted in one of four languages: English, Polish, Russian, or Ukrainian.
