IETM Focus Brussels 2022 - Fair Enough?
In 2022, IETM is opening a new chapter. It is time to figure out how each of us – no matter what role within the sector we play – can, in small and large steps, advance the fair and green transition of the performing arts sector. We intend to move from reflection mode to action mode and come together for network brainstorms in the coming years – under the title IETM Focus.
The first IETM Focus will be a space to explore, critique and improve our work practices and conditions. Are they fair enough? Human enough? What does “fair'' mean in your specific professional context? What practices and conditions can you and your organisation change and what is beyond your power? Which actions could you take, to influence broader systemic change?
On 7 and 8 April, we are coming back to Brussels, the ‘city of diversity and contrasts’, for this two-day brainstorming event. Join us at this first IETM Focus Meeting, where we will outline the diverse and common strategies of IETM members for a fair, equal and inclusive performing arts ecosystem.
It goes without saying that we will also have enough time to meet new faces, network, catch up with old friends and colleagues, as well as experience the diversity of the Belgian performing arts scene.
Maximum capacity: 200 participants
The IETM Focus Meeting is a members activity, but non-members are also welcome to take part. You can check the participation fees here, and apply for our travel grants here if you are an IETM member with an annual turnover of less than €100,000.
The IETM Focus Brussels 2022 is happening as part of our Creative Europe project The New International in the Performing Arts (NIPA): Bridging local and global.
Open Call for Artistic Programme
As always at IETM, our event programme will be complemented by an evening artistic programme to represent the local artistic landscape. We have therefore launched an open call for artists and organisations who would have performances on offer from 6-9 April, or who would like to organise a pre-meeting artistic activity on 6 April with a small group of event participants. Learn more and apply by 28 February 2022 at 18:00 CET.
