Synopsis
A Concerto for 15 actors
The play is situated in present day Finland. There are several main characters: the celebrity reporter Jeff, a young female journalist, and two married couples, the parents of Jeff and the journalist.
The writer calls Foxtrot a concerto for 15 actors - in turn, each character has his/her own solo. The play is based on the simultaneity of scenes and on contradictions: on the stage people say a lot of things that come from someone else's subconscious.
Foxtrot is, in a way, a synopsis of Finland at the end of the 20th century. Outward wealth is visible, even living beyond one's means. The historic level is also present - the younger generation wants the same things from life as the older had but quicker and by other means.
