Open Call for Participation
The Nordic-Baltic Network for Drama invites theater and performing arts organizations to participate in the Drama Theme at the Gothenburg Book Fair 2025, taking place from September 25-28.
Over four days, the network will present 20-30 seminars, performances, readings, and around 50-60 shorter program items on the Drama Stage. We will also invite international playwrights. The program highlights drama as a distinct literary genre and showcases the playwright’s craft and the power of words on stage.
This is a unique opportunity to engage with the Book Fair's audience on the floor. Around 80,000 people and 650 journalists attend the fair. At the heart of the theme will be a large public area with the Drama Stage at the center, featuring shorter format readings, performances, and panel discussions. Additionally, there will be a seminar hall with suitable lighting and sound for longer performances, workshops, and seminars.
We will also create opportunities for professional meetings, collaboration, and networking between the literary and theater sectors.
The Drama Theme will invite passionate readers, theatergoers, publishers, authors, and a curious public to inspiring discussions and new perspectives on drama. The theme is initiated by Colombine Theatre Agency and organized in collaboration with Theatre Info Finland TINFO (Finland), Dramatikkens Hus (Norway), and the Estonian Theatre Agency (Estonia).
