PS Network Meeting #2

Held online on May 9, 2025
Host: Konträr, Sweden

Featured artist collectives: Ställbergs Gruva and Lilith Performance Studio

During the second Portable Sharing workshop the network met Eric Sjögren, the executive manager and artistic leader of Ställbergs Gruva, and Petter Pettersson, the co-artistic director and curator of Lilith Performance Studio.

Sjögren presented the work of Non Existent Resources association, which works with the local community and collaborates with artists around the world at Ställbergs Gruva, an old mine facility in Ljusnarsberg, Sweden. The work at Ställbergs Gruva is facilitated by a multidisciplinary group of professionals and it operates in the intersections of local and global, using mirroring as one of its main strategies.

Petter Pettersson presented the work of Lilith Performance Studio, which is a venue and a curating project that he started with Elin Lundgren over two decades ago. The Studio supports local and international visual artists to create large space performances in Malmö, Sweden.

The two examples from Sweden highlighted the importance of local endeavours, while maintaining an international dimension.
