Rumo do Fumo: Residency Programme for Dance and Performing Artists

The O Rumo do Fumo residency programme supports contemporary artistic creation, stimulating its research and development by hosting two residencies for emerging artists. Over one month, O Rumo do Fumo offers selected projects:

• 1000€ stipend for each project and then 900€ refund for travel/accommodation/food expenses that is divided between the two selected projects.
• A rehearsal studio, artistic counselling, and organisation of a work-in-progress presentation at O Rumo do Fumo’s own space, Espaço da Penha.

Residency periods:

• 8 August - 2 September 2022, with an informal public presentation on 2 September 2022.
• 2 October - 28 October 2022, with an informal public presentation on 28 October 2022.

Eligibility:

• The project must be an original work, in the creation phase and yet to premiere, in the field of dance and/or performance.
• The author of the project must have created a maximum of 3 works presented in a professional context (this limit is applied for each author in projects that have more than one author).
