CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS for the years 2022 and 2023
for working residencies at the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop
and its exchange partners in Northern Europe

Dear artists, dear curators,

we are hereby inviting visual artists, authors, composers, dance performers and curators to apply for working residencies in the scholarship programme of Künstlerhaus Lukas for the years 2022 and 2023. One-month residency scholarships, two-month environmental exchange scholarships, one-month and two-month curator scholarships as well as two-week workshop residencies at the Künstlerhaus Lukas in Ahrenshoop and at the locations of our exchange partners in Northern Europe will be awarded. Applications are open from the 15th of May to the 31st of July 2021.

Scholarship holders are awarded a monthly grant of 1100 €, subject to the annual budgetary confirmations by the state of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Travel costs are included in this. New to the programme for the next two years is an annual environmental exchange scholarship with a new partner in Norway.

Applications are open to artists and curators of all ages residing in Germany and all countries bordering the Baltic Sea (Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Russian Federation, Finland, Sweden, Denmark) as well as Norway and Iceland.

Up to 70 months of scholarships will be awarded for a period of two years by an independent jury of experts, whose decision will be announced by the end of September 2021. 

Located in the traditional arts town Ahrenshoop, the 125-year-old Künstlerhaus Lukas, a listed building with modern furnishings, offers good working conditions in a scenic environment to six scholarship holders. The exchange locations offer different opportunities.
