SEMINAR: Artistic Strategies in Turbulent Times, 9 Nov at KokoTeatteri Helsinki
TEKIJÄ Theatre Touring Network project organises in co-operation with International Theatre Festival Baltic Circle an international seminar on artistic strategies in relation to contemporary society.
Friday 9.11. 13:00–17:00
Location: KokoTeatteri, Hämeentie 3, Helsinki
Language: English
Free entrance
International Theatre Festival Baltic Circle and TEKIJÄ Theatre Touring Network project invite artists and cultural operators to reflect upon artistic strategies in relation to contemporary society. In the seminar four international artists will present and discuss about their work from the strategic point of view. Is there a need for articulated long-term strategies? Is the concept of artistic mission relevant today? What is one’s life’s work? Do we need to plan ahead, even if we know that what we do today might not be relevant tomorrow?
Seminar is linked to a workshop focusing on long-term strategic planning for theatre companies and individual artists. The workshop is organised on Thursday the 8th of November. Working language of the workshop is Finnish. More information about the workshop.
